January 2014 Newsletter
Happy New Year! The beginning of each year for me brings with it self reflection on the prior year. What went right, what went wrong or what I can do better.
I coined 2013 the Year of Yahrah and it was an amazing unforgettable year complete with a milestone birthday. But I took on a lot in 2013: worked my full-time property manager job, was President of my local manager organization, wrote 3 books, rereleased my 2nd book Dare To Love, traveled the world from Hawaii to Greece, all the while trying to be a good daughter, sister, girlfriend and friend. I fared well at most and not so well on others.
Deciding to forego traditional publishing in favor of being my own boss, while juggling my other priorities didn’t go as smoothly as I’d hoped, but I learned some valuable lessons. Don’t over promise and under deliver. Even if I have to delay a book release date, presenting quality work is paramount.
In 2014, I won’t be as overwhelmed by my obligations and can deliver dynamic & inventive stories that you can’t put down. Because writing is in my blood, has been since I was 12 years old and wrote my first short story about summer camp.
I can happily announce that Entangled Hearts Volume II has finally been released and you can look for it on Kindle, Nook and other devices. I am in the process of writing Untamed Hearts, the 3rd book in the Harts of Arizona series which will tell Rylee Hart’s story. Be on the lookout for it in mid 2nd quarter 2014. It may appear a long time away, but it will be well worth the wait. Thanks to an interracial romance, intriguing locales like Dubai and national ones like the Kentucky Derby that I’ve encountered during my travels.
But never fear, I will keep your palettes wet with the re-release of my 3rd book: Never Say Never, the “extended version” which was shortened during the initial publishing run. Expect its release in 1st quarter 2014.
Many of you have followed me for 10+ years and even if you’ve just discovered me, I’m so thankful for all your support, encouragement and nudging to finish those books! You’re simply the best.
